Dear Sir/Madam:
I am Emma P. Madriaga, 34 years old. I am currently working here
in Singapore as a domestic helper with a Chinese family since
December 1989 until now. I am hardworking and serious about my
work. I have been working for the same employer for the past 10
years and half I went home in June 1997 and returned at the same
employer in March 1998.
I am now taking care of one boy. I looked after him since he was
born. The baby and I share a room so when the baby wakes up at
night, I am the one to feed him and change his diapers. At that
time my employer was working and I am the one to stay with him at
night because she has to go to work in the morning.
Since I was trained in a Nursing Aide that I undertook in 1996, I
am capable to attend some minor mjuries and I know about
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), mouth-to-mouth
resuscitation and I am familiar with Heimlich procedure, to help
a person who is choking on his or her food. I can handle the
varied tasks they assigned to me specially in time of
illnesses.
When I was a teenager my mother taught me so many things
specially cooking. I enjoy cooking, I know how to cook Chinese
food, Italian, Western food and spicy food. I can prepare a good
variety food for the guests and for the family.
I know about gardening. Actually I studied Agriculture w/c I
undertook on my first year of college before I shifted into two
(2) years Junior Secretarial Course. Gardening is one of my
hobbies, then sewing and etc....
My employer has already planned to migrate to Australia in early
December 2001. I hope that when my employer goes to Australia. I
will go to Canada to work for you.
As a person I am hardworking, independent and responsible as I
came from a low-class and big family. I am on the 6th out of a
total of 8 in the family. I came from Bataan province, about 3
hours from Manila by road and 55 minutes by ferry.
If you will employ me, I will try my best to do everything to
work for you. I hope you will give me a chance to work to prove
my capability. HAVE A NICE DAY!!!
Respectfully yours,
Emma P. Madriaga
