To Whom It May Concern

This is to confirm that Naw Thein Phoung has worked for my family in the position of maid/nanny for 1½ years from June 1991 to December 1992. She was released from employment due to my departure from Myanmar.

Ma Phoung is a very hard working person who has a natural ability with looking after small children. She is entirely dependable and trustworthy and has built up an excellent rapport with my two daughters, who are very demanding and have kept her very busy. She never complains and seems to have endless patience with them. We have every confidence in her ability and are able to leave her in charge when we go out;

Her duties included washing, ironing and cleaning which she performed efficiently, managing to combine these tasks with the demands of our children. When the routine jobs were completed, she used her initiative to find additional jobs to do, keeping herself busy the whole time. She is also quite capable of preparing food which she demonstrated admirably on the odd occasions when our cook was away. She presents herself well, always being well groomed and tidy, and copes without difficulty when we entertain guests.

On behalf of my family, I have no hesitation in recommending her for a similar type of post, where I am quite sure she will serve with the same dedication to her duty that we had the pleasure to experience.
